Qué buenas experiencias ¿no? Contarnos! Mientras apreciamos tus bocetos, tus figuras coquetas y tu magia; Warhol: Permíteme  hacerte un pequeño homenaje. Debo decir que nadie, pero nadie dibuja un par de tacones como tu lo has hecho.When I used to do shoe drawings for the magazines, I would get a certain amount for each shoe, so then I would count up my shoes fo figure out how much I was going to get. I lived by the number of shoe drawings--when I counted them I knew how much money I had.

Cuando ilustraba zapatos para las revistas; recibía una cierta cantidad por cada zapato; Así que, para saber cuánto dinero tenía, contaba cada par. Vivía de acuerdo al número de éstas ilustraciones, así que cada vez que los contaba, sabía cuánto dinero tenía.

When you think about it, department stores are kind of like museums.

De las cosas que mas recuerdo de aquellos dias, aparte de las largas jornadas, son las cucarachas. Todos y cada uno de los pisos en los que estuve, venían llenos de éstas. Nunca olvidaré la Humillación que sentí al traerle mi dossier a Carmel Snow, en las oficinas de Harper´s Bazaar, donde, tan solo abrir la cremallera del portafolio, salió una cuca arrastrandose hacia la pata de la mesa. Tan apenada se sintió por mi, que me dio el trabajo.

The things I remember most about those days, aside from the long hours I spent working, are the cockroaches. Every aparment I ever stayed in was loaded with them. I´ll never forget the humiliation of bringing my portfolio up to Carmel Snow´s office at Harper´s Bazaar and unzipping it only to have a roach crawl out and down the leg of the table. She felt so sorry for me that she gave me a job.
