INSPIRATION

San opened up her eyes; they were glowing like never before. She had the same anticipation that felt the first time she drank that black tea on the Moroccan kiosk, It´s just this time, she knew where the excitation came from, also knew how to control it.
In front of her eyes it was a magazine, yet the magazine itself wasn´t the reason of her happiness. It could be read the word Vogue?, even it sounded familiar to her, she didn´t mind… it was just a word; in front of her was one image, a picture that could tell one and one thousand stories, a picture from the Italian version of the already named magazine, a back number; nine months of delay.San´s grandma always carried on with her, a postcard from her beloved; there wasn´t on it the author, neither name nor date. There was just a blank space on the other side that was filled with a few words from San´s Grandpa, A Spanish man.
For San, that postcard was a concentrate of strong roots, strong love, and resignation to face life, and this, as a simple blink and a trail which Miss Domentitskeva was completely decided to make sure it would be preserved. She couldn´t stop watching the spread, someone else in other part from the world, had fallen in love with the same picture… but whom? Flipping through it, she read: Foto di Steven Meisel, che per la parte dil suo patre, che era italiano she could understand that the picture was taken from him. From then onwards Steven would become for San, a kind of saint to be prayed to every morning.  She absolutely knew this wasn´t a copy, not at all, but what was it? At that moment she didn’t know it was one of the marvelous pictures from John Rawlings, the only thing she knew was that It was like an endless chain of admiration, the perfect key to preserve things and make them to live forever; Took to her just a second to fathom the true meaning of inspiration.
