This week will be all about the facet of fashion I like most; for which I feel such a passion. I can assure you, that since I was a child I´ve been felt very attracted to fashion Design; really since I was a little kid. Well I don´t meant to be that pretentious; let´s say I´ve always felt attracted by a certain esthetic, esthetic with woman shape in the most powerful sense; beauty in all its words.
My escape used to be quite simple, and way complex than you might think, yet it had such an inbuilt charm (you should tie you up in a kid´s shoes so you´ll find the true meaning of CHARM) also, a certain mystery and aim for discovering new styles, shapes and the designer´s flourish, how would I ask for something If I really didn’t know how to phrase the question?, that magic was completely unknown for me.
Esta semana, hablaré de la rama de la moda que me apasiona muchísimo, mas de lo que pueden imaginarse; Si que puedo asegurar que desde muy pequeño, y de verdad, desde edad muy temprana, alrededor de 6 o 7 años me he sentido atraído por el diseño de moda. Haber, no quiero ser pretencioso, digamos que me he sentido atraído por cierta estética de la figura femenina en el sentido del poder, y lo bello en sí. Mi vía de escape solía ser bastante sencilla y a la vez muy compleja; eso si, con un encanto inherente (deberían ponerse en los ojos de un niño para saber el verdadero significado de encanto) además de cierto misterio al describir estilos, formas y la rúbrica de diseñadores, como preguntar quién era quién sin siguiera saber plantear la pregunta, esa rúbrica era completamente desconocida. La ILUSTRACIÓN DE MODA fue todo un descubrimiento y un enigma al mismo tiempo.
Fashion illustration was such riddle for me. My father has been key piece for that discovering and for that raise of my passion for drawing and graphic stuff (I don’t want to say arts since I’m so ignorant about the subject, my point is that I only felt attracted for such a primary thing like exaggerated poses with different outfits, that’s all)
He was the one that, with no judgments, started with his amazing skills, to project strong and angular lines for my very first fashion sketches; strong lines that I´ve inherit, lucky me. From there onwards I´ve had been drawing almost all the time, so I can say I´m a good drawer.
I let you with my favorite fashion illustrators; starting from the Spanish master Eduardo Garcia Benito, going through the Tavi from Illustration Danny Roberts to get to My all time favorite fashion illustration: Laura Laine;
I´ll talk about them one by one for one week, until getting to the shameless self-promotion, yes, I´ll show you all, all my illustrations.

Mi padre, ha sido pieza fundamental para el desarrollo de mi pasión por el dibujo, por lo gráfico (no quiero decir por las artes, pues soy un completo ignorante, quisiera que el punto de que lo único que me interesa, es algo tan básico y primario como poses exageradas de figuras humanas con diferentes atuendos , una fascinación por eso solo, no más.)
El fue quien, sin perjuicio alguno, comenzó con una habilidad impresionante a plasmarme los primeros bocetos de moda. De ahí pal real; Su estilo de líneas fuertes y formas angulares por suerte lo he heredado; lo demás me lo he currado yo. He practicado toda mi vida, por lo que me puedo jactar de ser un buen dibujante.
Les dejo con mis ilustradores favoritos, que van desde el gran maestro Español, Eduardo García Benito, hasta la Tavi de la ilustración Danny Roberts, pasando por supuesto por mi favorita indiscutible de todos los tiempos Laura Laine.
